Terrazzo Polishing and Restoration

Terrazzo is “Florida’s natural stone” occurring in almost all homes predating 1965. Recently it has made a huge comeback with designers. With the availability of new machinery and advanced diamond technology, terrazzo is now refinished just like marble to a condition that far exceeds “brand new.”

TERRAZZO RESTORATION: A process (identical to marble/granite restoration) in which existing worn, aged terrazzo flooring is “wet” ground, honed, and polished to “marble like” condition, actually better than “brand new.”

GRINDING: Is a “wet ground” process using highest quality 50 grit resin bound diamond to remove years of acrilic wax build up,to grind out any existing deep scraches or wear,and to “flatten” high / low areas for and even finish.

HONING: A 3 step process using highest quality resin bond diamond (120-220-400 grit) to refinish floor.

POLISHING: A 2 step process using (800 grit) resin bond diamond,then the finest quality polishing powers available to give that perfect”granite like” clarity.

SEALING: We use only the very best solvent based stone impregnators for most stain resistance and protection possible, then buff using (high speed burnisher) for the “garanteed better than new” finish.
